Deb and I are Singapore bound!

Hello!

As I haven't been to Singapore in probably 20 years, and Debby has never been there, we decided it was about time to make the trip!  Not sure exactly how the weather will be in September, but as the average temperature is always somewhere between 90 and 92 degrees, and the humidity is always about the same -- in the 90's -- after all, Singapore is only 90 miles from the equator, it really doesn't seem to matter all that much -- unless we're talking about the rainy season, which is supposedly December to March.  So, knowing that it will definitely be hot and humid, and wet -- we're heading out September 2 for a week!  (NOTE:  Robert has been to Singapore twice, and while he very much enjoyed the food -- it's a "foodie's paradise" and I've always said it's too bad one can only eat eight or nine times a day! he absolutely hates humidity ... so has declined the opportunity to return!  Hence, a "Ladies Only" trip!)

It's a L-O-N-G flight ... l6 hours, but we're going non-stop from San Francisco, which will definitely be an improvement over my last two visits, which included stops in Narita (Tokyo) and plane changes.  We are going on Singapore Air and have sprung for Premium Economy, which should hopefully provide a bit more space and comfort -- foot rests at least!  So, it will be Tucson to SFO, then SFO to Singapore.  On our return, we get into SFO about 8:30 pm, and have decided to overnight there, and will return back to Tucson early on the morning of the 11th.  It's odd because we almost arrive before we left!  Oh well!  We actually leave on September 2nd and arrive on September 4th!  The time line is an amazing thing!

Robert has put together a map of our proposed route.

Hoping that you will join us as we museum/tour/shop (Debby, not me!)/and eat (both of us!) our way through this wonderful Asian metropolis!

Lots of love!
