Flowers Galore!

Oh what a day!

Woke about 7 to an overcast Friday, but figured that it wasn’t going get any better, and as we’d already postponed the Botanic Gardens one day, we needed to see it today.  So … after a really lovely breakfast in the Executive Lounge, we packed up umbrellas and sweaters (boy, were we overdressed!) and headed out via Grab to the Botanic Garden.

This stunning green space in – manicured beautifully and just what a tropical jungle in the center of a city should be! – we walked through the gardens and to the National Orchid Garden.  As orchids are the national flower of Singapore – and it is VERY wet and tropical here, all I can say is WOW!  Absolutely spectacular display of orchids and bromeliads in so many different colors and shapes!  They were truly incredible!  And, as a result, I took WAY too many photos.  But, I do know that I have some definite “flower” people on my blog list, so I’ve decided to make a post just of the flower photos … especially for those those who could care less – just delete away!

Loved that the bathrooms were open to the garden!

The rest of the day I will post later – probably after we get back from Singapore’s famous Night Safari!!
